hundred days – day 10

Posted in comics, hundred days, news, sketchbook by Tom on December 10th, 2009

I could draw creepy Old Man Humberstone all day! He might have to make a reappearance sometime…

So this makes 10. I am 1/10th of the way through. Barely a drop in the ocean but still, I’m glad I’ve stuck with this. I think I’m starting to loosen up and have been shocked at how much fun this exercise is. The fact it’s every day takes the pressure off oddly. I go into each comic expecting the worst and have a decent excuse if it turns out badly – but have (most of the time) been pleasantly surprised.

I rarely find more than an hour each day to work on them. Sometimes drawing pages on the train home from work or nights out. I might try to find a bit more time for them this weekend but I’d rather devote that time to my new comic and a couple of commissions I’m working on…

Anyway. I hope you’re all enjoying them so far and stick with me for the next 90!

    Hi Tom!

I’ve been enjoying your daily comics muchly! I’m also very impressed that you’ve had the discipline to do this every day. Keep it up!

I also came to the comics scene pretty late (I feel, as many my age in comics are already established). This touches home, sir. Excellent stuff thus far. #noFoolin
